For dive aficionados North Male Atoll offers spectacular and thrilling dive sites filled with myriad species of fishes, invertebrates, soft corals and colorful flora. This outer reef in North Male Atoll of Maldives has a drift wall steeply descending from 10 meters to 25 meters below the sea level. Several gray reef sharks, white tip reef sharks and silver tip reef sharks are found looming in the reef. Eagle rays in considerable numbers are sighted flowing with the water current.
As you descend deep inside the azure water you will found tunas, napoleon wrasses and barracudas in different sizes and colors. Watch the numerous blue-stripped snappers, surgeonfish and fusiliers. With an average visibility of 15 to 30 meters, the reef has a thila with reef top at 25 meters.
The site has strong current flow making it challenging for divers to reach the thila. It allures gray reef sharks, silver tip reef sharks, stingrays, eagle rays and barracuda. The site has maximum dive depth of 30 meters. Rasfari has been announced as marine protected area.
